Unpacking the ESKi – Employment Starter Kit initiative workshop – Toowoomba
May 30 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
Research shows that one of the key issues in attracting and retaining people on dairy farms are the employment practices being used.
The Dairy Australia Employment Starter Kit Initiative – ESKi – is a user friendly employer kit that details the mandatory requirements for dairy businesses that employ staff. It also has some great ideas for improving the employment experience on-farm.
Subtropical Dairy invites farm business owners, managers and farm payroll administrators to attend a workshop to ‘unpack the ESKi’.
It doesn’t matter if you are already employing staff, looking to employ someone or expanding your business, this is an opportunity to learn about the latest developments in the following areas of employment and staff management:
The Law – what every dairy farmer needs to know
Employing someone – how to attract and retain staff
Payroll – how much and what for?
Leave – employee’s entitlements
Individual Flexibility Agreements – a way to make paying staff easier
Termination – let’s do this right if we need too
This interactive half-day workshop will be facilitated by a Dairy Australia trained HR advisor, Di Gresham, using the People in Dairy website and the Employment Starter Kit (ESKi) resources.
