February 20 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Experienced rural Vet, Carl Hockey will be facilitating a healthy calves farm walk hosted by Angie and Corey Crosthwaite on their farm at Murwillumbah on Wednesday 20th February 2019.

The day will cover all you need to know about rearing strong, healthy calves. Discussion will focus on issues relevant to the topic on the day but can include topics such as pre-calving care, calf housing, identification and traceability, nutrition, disease prevention, health management and weaning management.

A revised edition of the Dairy Australia resource ‘Rearing Healthy Calves’ will be available on the day.

Come and take a look at what the Crosthwaite family have been doing with regards to calf rearing on their farm and discuss some of the changes they have made.

Morning tea and lunch will be provided. Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements.

Please wear clean boots or closed-in shoes and a hat. Bring a fold-up chair, if you have one.

“Please note that should we get less than 6 participants at an event, this event may be postponed the day before, so please ensure you RSVP.”
